After two successful decades in the fashion and beauty industry with a client roster of everyone from Lady Gaga to Revlon, Becca, Gigi Hadid, Marc Jacobs and Victoria Secrets - Yvonne opens Blu Roze Studio - an immersive art exhibition and beauty studio in the heart of DTN Halifax.

Yvonne's fine art background elevated her artistic approach to beauty, using the science of colour theory and masterful mixology to create perfectly matched hues for client's face, eyes and lips.

As an educator Yvonne stood on stages from the US to Europe, Signapore and Dubai celebrating the art of transformation and advocating a more inclusive beauty space.

Engaging and amplifying important conversations around the inequalities in the makeup industry, Yvonne spent the next decade as an advocate, consultant and public speaker-teaching artists of all ages and backgrounds to refine their approach to makeup artistry, largely leaning on colour theory and fine art fundamentals as a way to break through and irradiate outdated techniques, beauty standards and ideals that had often excluded women of colour and the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Blu Roze Studio serves as a safe space for everyone to feel accepted, celebrated and seen as the beautiful humans we ALL are. The immersive exhibit, with 8 interactive experiences and 11 art scapes, guides visitors through a journey of self discovery allowing you to be the artist AND the art.
